Miss Namibia Finalist Constancia Kamburona Says She Fell Even More in Love With Her Heritage
For Miss Namibia 2026 finalist Constancia Kamburona, the recent Top 10 excursion was more than just a trip, it became a deeply personal journey of self-discovery and cultural connection.
When asked what stood out most during the experience, Constancia said one of the biggest highlights was learning more about her heritage while traveling through the Omaheke Region.
“So many things stood out to me, but one thing I really picked up on was learning more about my culture,” she shared.
Although she had visited Gobabis before, Constancia explained that this experience felt completely different.
“I’ve been to Gobabis before, but it didn’t feel that way this time. I learned so much about my ancestors and the greatness in my bloodline.”
One of the most emotional moments came when she discovered her surname at the Hosea Kutako Museum, an experience that made her feel even more connected to her roots.
Reflecting on that moment, Constancia described it as a powerful reminder of where she comes from and the legacy of her people.
“It was really amazing for me, just connecting to my people.”
The interviewer Johanna Swartbooi also recalled witnessing Constancia’s emotional reaction at the museum, saying it was beautiful to see her connect so deeply with her tribe and heritage.
