Tanya Drops Proof After Shax Champion’s Team Denies Receiving Payment

A booking dispute involving Namibian artist Shax Champion, his management team, and a Rundu-based event organizer, Tanya, has sparked widespread discussion on social media after both parties publicly shared their versions of events.

The matter first gained attention when Tanya uploaded a video appealing directly to Shax Champion and his management, claiming she had been waiting nearly a year for a resolution.

“I have the bank statements, I have the recordings, I have everything,” Tanya said in the video.

She explained that she had booked the artist for an event in Rundu but alleged that the performance never took place. While acknowledging that Shax Champion had informed her he was travelling to South Africa at the time, she said she is now seeking answers and the return of her money.

“I really need my money,” she said, urging members of the public to support her in resolving the matter.

Shax Champion’s Management Denies Receiving Payment

In response, Shax Champion’s management released an official statement denying allegations that the artist or his current management had received payment for the booking.

According to the statement, the team says no official performance contract was ever signed and that no one contacted them through their official booking channels before the dispute was made public.

Management further stated that the individual identified as “Natangwe” is not affiliated with Shax Champion’s current team and had no authority to negotiate bookings or receive payments on the artist’s behalf.

The statement added that any money allegedly paid to Natangwe was never received by either the artist or his management.

Management also described Shax Champion, who is 19 years old, as innocent in the matter and called for anyone making allegations to provide proof of payment made directly to the artist or his official management, along with a signed performance contract issued by the current management team.

They warned that legal action could be considered if what they describe as false and defamatory claims continue.

Tanya Shares Supporting Documents

Following the management’s statement, Tanya shared several documents on social media, including:

• A settlement and refund agreement from Musketeers Entertainment relating to an outstanding amount of N$4,500.
• A Bank Windhoek EasyWallet transaction receipt showing a payment.
• Screenshots of messages intended to demonstrate communication surrounding the booking.
• A statement from a community page explaining that its intention was to help resolve the matter rather than damage Shax Champion’s reputation.

One of the shared documents references a booking made through Musketeers Entertainment, stating that following changes in Shax Champion’s management, the agreed performance fee allegedly increased, preventing the performance from taking place. The letter also outlines a proposed refund arrangement.

Dispute Appears to Center on Booking Representation

Based on the information made public by both parties, the disagreement appears to center on who was authorized to represent Shax Champion at the time of the booking and who ultimately received the booking payment.

While Shax Champion’s current management maintains that the artist never received the money and that the alleged intermediary was unauthorized, Tanya has shared documents she believes support her claim that payment was made during the booking process.

At this stage, neither side’s claims have been independently verified, and the dispute remains unresolved.

As the situation continues to unfold, many fans are calling for transparency and a resolution that addresses the concerns raised by everyone involved.
