Miss Namibia Finalist Dolly Mootu Launches Hospital Transformation Project to Bring Hope and Healing to Patients

Beauty with purpose continues to take center stage as Miss Namibia 2026 finalist Dolly Mootu unveils a meaningful community initiative aimed at transforming healthcare spaces for some of Namibia’s most vulnerable patients.

A pharmacist by profession, fitness enthusiast, and founder of Above Borders Namibia, Dolly is using her Miss Namibia platform to create lasting impact beyond the pageant stage. Through her organization, she has announced a transformation project that will breathe new life into the Intermediate Hospital Katutura by renovating key hospital wards.

The project focuses on repainting and beautifying the Maternity Ward, KMC and Respiratory Unit 2, replacing plain walls with colorful artwork that celebrates motherhood, newborns, hope, and healing.

According to Dolly, the goal is to create spaces that are more welcoming, comforting, and uplifting for mothers, newborn babies, and children receiving medical care.

“Our work extends beyond improving environments. We are also dedicated to improving the social, mental, and emotional well-being of vulnerable communities,” she shared while introducing the initiative.

The transformation project will be carried out in collaboration with healthcare professionals working in the respective wards, ensuring that the renovations meet the needs of both patients and medical staff.

Recognizing that community impact requires collective effort, Dolly has also called on businesses, organizations, and individuals to partner with Above Borders Namibia by contributing resources, materials, sponsorships, or volunteer support to help bring the vision to life.

The initiative highlights how small changes to physical environments can have a meaningful effect on a patient’s emotional well-being, particularly for mothers welcoming new life and children undergoing treatment.
